The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat: The Most Powerful SRT Challenger Ever

Dodge has done it again. The Dodge Challenger SRT does not lack power but that didn’t stop them from ramping it up. That’s exactly what they have done with the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat

It will come with the first supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V-8 that will produce more than 600 horsepower. That is not a misprint. That will make it the most powerful engine that Chrysler Group has ever produced and a massive step up from the standard 392 Hemi that puts out 485 horsepower.

“The new 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is the ultimate performance muscle car,” said Tim Kuniskis, Dodge brand’s CEO, in a statement. “The Challenger Hellcat has been released!” Now you can’t expect that kind of performance in just a normal engine. The Hellcat will have high strength forged alloy pistons attached to powder forged connecting rods. The cylinder heads will also be changed to aluminum alloy to handle the heat. It will come with available TorqueFlite automatic eight speed transmission.

Due to the incredible power, it will come with special all-season tires for handling extreme loads. They have thought of everything including how to stop a beast of this magnitude. They have put the largest front brake package offered on this machine. 15.4 inch Brembos that will be offered by Chrysler as standard equipment. How will you be able to tell the Hellcat apart from the regular SRT you ask? The Hellcat will have “Supercharged “on the fender.
