The 2015 Dodge Charger Hellcat recently took part in an extremely anticipated debut at the 2014 Woodward Dream Cruise Muscle Car Fest in Detroit. With its 6.2-liter V-8 Hellcat engine that supplies 707 horse power and 650 pound to feet of torque, this new model has officially been named the fastest and quickest sedan in the world, especially with its top speed being an outstanding 204 miles per hour. It goes 0 to 60 in roughly 3 seconds and 0 to 100 to 0 in 13!
I know what you are thinking. “That is way too fast for me!” but rest assured, there are many safety features available for the new charger that will keep the beast on the leash! In order to actually access all of the 707 horse power, you would need what we call the “red” key! With the normal, standard key to the car, you only have access to 500 horse power! There is also a Drive Mode feature which controls the horse power, transmission speed shifts, paddle shifters, traction and suspension damping. This feature is set with 3 pre-set modes (Sport, Track, and Default), but can also be customized to fit your liking.
The new model comes with an 8 speed automatic transmission and rear wheel drive. It also has a curb weight of 4,560 pounds and a weight distribution of 54:46 front to rear. The heavier weight gives more traction off the line.
